Warning LEDs
If your Floodcheck® has turned the water off there must be a reason.
You will need to locate your Floodcheck® Auto Valve not the water control switch, It will be near your main stop-cock / water shut off valve. You may find this in a cupboard under the sink or in the bathroom.
There are a series of five LEDs across the top of the Auto Valve. Check to see which LEDs are on or flashing.
Power LED
The power LED should be ON.
If the Power LED is OFF then check the electricity supply from the mains supply to the Auto Valve including the fuse. If you are using a temporary battery, then replace the battery.
Once the power is restored, press the “RESET” button on the “WATER CONTROL SWITCH” or insert the “TRIM TOOL” in the “PRESS TO RESET” hole on the Auto Valve. Wait 20 seconds and the water supply will be restored.
Excess LED
If the Excess LED is ON there has been a sudden or abnormal demand on the water supply. This could be caused by a burst pipe or ruptured connector.
Check that there are no obvious burst pipes or leaks anywhere, then press the “RESET” button on the “WATER CONTROL SWITCH” or insert the “TRIM TOOL” in the “PRESS TO RESET” hole on the Auto Valve. Wait 20 seconds and the water supply will be restored.
Take care there is not a serious leak somewhere you have not noticed, especially in the loft area if you have one, or under the floorboards. If the water comes back on, and goes off again after a few seconds it likely you have a serious leak somewhere.
Time Out LED
If the Time Out LED is on continuously then you been using water for longer than the time out is adjusted to.
This is factory set but can be adjusted by you to suit. See the Adjust Flow Time page or click here.
If the LED is flashing, then no water flow has been detected for the last 24 hours and so the water has been turned off.
Establish that the property has not been vacant in this period. This may apply to offices, holiday homes etc.
This function can be disabled if preferred. Call Floodcheck Support on 0800 357 9798
To restore the water supply press the “RESET” button on the “WATER CONTROL SWITCH” or insert the “TRIM TOOL” into “PRESS TO RESET” hole on the Auto Valve. Wait 20 seconds and the water supply will be restored.
Freeze LED
If the Freeze LED is ON then the temperature where the Auto Valve is situated has fallen to 3°C or less.
Once the temperature has risen above 3°C, press the “RESET” button on the “WATER CONTROL SWITCH” or insert the “TRIM TOOL” in the “PRESS TO RESET” hole on the Auto Valve. Wait 20 seconds and the water supply will be restored.
